We are all monkeys...Mahathir too...

It first started by a court order for a Jeff Ooi and Ahiruddin Atten to remove more than 10 postings from their blog, as News Straits Time, a government-controlled newspaper was threatening to sue them for 'libellious' writings...The government then gave a fair warning to all bloggers, that they should watch out what they say online, as it could tarnish Malaysia's good name, and theirs as well...

Before the elections, we rarely hear of any politicians posting or hosting any blogs...the ones which are a household name, would be opposition party Lim Kit Siang, and Anwar Ibrahim. These people were then condemn, and accused of using the cowardly way of dominating the cyber-space because "these bloggers know they cannot influence the society, so they make up stories"...Why, even this Khairy politician guy (UMNO) has also seen us bloggers, an equal to monkeys and no higher than that...

But hey, hey...what do you know??...In a spend of less than two months, more than 2 UMNO politicians have joined the cyber-space in blogging!!...the ex-Selangor MB, Dr. Mohamad Khir; the sitting Melacca Chief Minister, and UMNO Information Chief...why, even our ex Prime Minister Mahathir!!...

Now, if anyone tells you that blogging is a complete waste of time, or bloggers are no less than monkeys...please tell them..."Our famous ex PM does it too!!"

Our government will have a hard time chewing on this...and even now, they have decided not to clam down on us bloggers anymore...and have changed their statement, saying that they have always been liberal towards us...

Is it only me, or are you rolling your eyes too??...

You sound really interesting, even though you say you aren't. I was trying to find a picture of you, but whatever it does not matter...sorry it's 3:46 in the morning here in Pawcatuck, Connecticut, USA, I had to say it, are you really in Malaysia? I started reading one part of your blog because I was reading something about windows vista and cisco on some other blog and so I start reading and at first I though you were from England or something, because I have been there a few times and the way you talk(or write I guess) reminds me of that place...then I read more and I start laughing about the clown fear, mainly because I too think I have a fear of clowns, but I stay away from them so much I don't even know anymore. This is the first time I think I have commented on a blog, yet I have read them for years. odd. You sound wicked cool, and some of the things you write are so awesome, its totally sweet to hear about so many familiar feelings or events or whatever. Well, just wanted to comment I guess. I was trying to look you up in facebook, but no luck. You made me reactivate it just to try and find you, which kind of makes me a little mad, because I deactivated when I remembered that the CIA pretty much started face-book through In-Q-Tel. but oh well. well, maybe its time for sleep....

Dearest Rob,

Today started off as a bad one for me...but your comment certainly made my day!!...I am truly honoured that you would take your time off to drop me a note...your first time for that matter...Thank you so much!!...

Haha, yes...I am really from Malaysia...It is a beautiful country...unfortunately governed by not-so-beautiful politicians...which makes me dream of hiding in the North Pole just to escape from all the tragicomedy going around!!...

I converse mainly in English...hmmm, makes me wonder what tag-lines that I say...which reminds you of England...*grin*...but don't worry about it...my freckled pot face have always gave people the idea that I must be some Western hybrid experiment that didn't go well...

But, gosh...I would give my right arm, to be in Connecticut/England right now...I have always believed that I will end up staying in a four-season country one day...haha...but that will remain a dream for another few years...;)

Glad to know that you enjoy reading my blog...probably you could drop me your email address...and we could keep in touch?...would really love to have a friend all the way from USA...

p/s : I did put up a picture of me...but I deleted it, as I felt it didn't, nor should it serve any point...I just want to write my thoughts...besides, I am afraid that the online readers might be turned off from my blog...once they know how I look...haha...but photos are available upon request...*grin*...*pssst*...check my photoblog...my pic is there...*winks*
